Seagate provided me the opportunity to apply my mechanical engineering skills early on in my career on next generation hard drives. Through the experience, I:
• Led a team of 3 operators to carry out mechanical Design Verification Testing (DVT) of hard-drives.
• Identified resonant modes for Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) through Modal Analysis, using the Polytec Laser Vibrometer.
• Carried out FMEA by using the high-speed camera to analyze hard-drive disk collision failures under shock tests.
