Mechanical Design Project: Stem Cell Extractor

During my time at the National University of Singapore as a lab researcher, I designed and co-invented a mechatronic system for stem cell harvesting. The system was a clamp mechanism for a centrifuge machine and involved:
• Selecting rotary seals and bearings for a homogenizer machine
Procuring and sourcing of components
• Creating technical drawings for external manufacturing and assembly
Prototyping a working clamp, that functioned under 1000 rpm, to successfully aid the harvesting of stem cells
